Introducing the Bible: A Brief Look at Its History and Message
Many of us have read parts of the Bible but struggle to see how they all fit together. This four-week class will provide a clear and engaging overview of the Bible’s structure, history, and central message. Whether you’re new to the Bible or have been reading it for years, this class will help you understand how its many parts form one unified story centered on Jesus.
Each session will include a mix of lecture and discussion, exploring key themes like creation, covenant, and redemption while tracing God’s plan to restore the world through Christ. No matter your background, this class will equip you with a deeper understanding of Scripture and greater confidence in reading it.

Meet Your Teacher
Jeff Palen has been involved in teaching the Bible in a local church context for nearly 20 years. He holds a Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary and is an ordained pastor with Sovereign Grace Churches.
Jeff is the pastor of Center Church of Star, a new church coming soon to Star, Idaho, and the surrounding area.
He is passionate about helping people understand the Bible’s overarching story and how it reveals God’s plan for the world. His teaching combines clear explanation with practical insights, making the Bible accessible to those new to its message as well as those seeking to deepen their understanding.
